Chartered Structural Engineer - London - SE069

Chartered Structural Engineer required with 2 - 3 years post chartered experience to supervise the day-to-day design work and oversee 3 Engineers whilst doing own design work at the same time. A hands-on approach to all aspects of design, including the ability to produce hand and automated calculations and drawings using AutoCAD (AutoCAD is a requirement as you will spend most of your time on design rather than management).   Experience of working in a small practice.  Projects are mainly related to alterations and refurbishment of existing buildings, mainly domestic dwellings of traditional construction in the London area.  This position requires in-depth experience and knowledge of the forms of construction used in old houses and methods used in extending and altering them.  Must be experienced in using British Standard codes of practice for the design and alteration of structural work in brick, masonry, timber and steel. Remuneration package for this position will reflect the experience and abilities of the successful candidate.
