Surveyor – Edinburgh - Ref: BCJ9050
Our client is a large property
company looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to work in their
Edinburgh based office.
The successful candidate will need to be MRICS/ MCIOB qualified, with
significant relevant experience at a supervisory level. They will also
need to have in depth experience to undertake significant property
development and refurbishment programmes in relation to new and existing
buildings.
Role and Responsibilities include: To provide a full range of
Professional and Technical duties to clients and support team leader in
respect of managing a range of commissions. Carry out all activities in
accordance with Quality Assurance systems. Prepare fee accounts in
respect of commissions. Make recommendations for payment in respect of
Sub Consultants claims for payment. Assess development potential (build
and/or improve) with respect to physical and financial feasibility
studies. Assess fire and other insurance risks, calculate replacement
costs, and negotiate claims with loss adjustors. Prepare condition
surveys of building to identify liabilities associated with ownership in
the context of the client’s requirements. Provide full professional
services of design, specification, tendering, supervision and contract
administration across arrange of projects. Prepare feasibility studies
to incorporate physical analysis of proposals, cost analysis and
suitability of alternative schemes. Undertake surveys and provide
reports on client’s property. Prepare drawings, specifications and
schedules necessary for the preparation of a project, to comply with
statutory undertakers and Building Regulations. Prepare estimates for
proposed projects, and analyse tenders and quotations. To supervise
works in progress with particular regard to quality, value for money,
safe working practices and disturbance and to take appropriate action
where breaches occur.

Surveyor – London - Ref: A125
Experienced Architect or
Surveyor required with a background or interest in investigation of
building defects, expert witness services and construction disputes is
required for a senior position within the Construction Technology team
of this London based practice. Our client is an equal opportunities

Junior Building Surveyor – Leeds - Ref: BCJ1414
Our client is a leading
regional contractor that is part of a major UK group and they are
currently seeking a Junior Building Surveyor to join the team in their
Leeds office. This client is part of a group that has an annual turnover
of £1billion and employ over 250 staff. This contractor has recently
secured contracts in Education and Hospital new builds, as a direct
result they are seeking a Junior Building Surveyor to join their team.
The majority of work that they are currently involved with is new build
with a small amount of refurbishment. The other types of projects that
they get involved with are retail and community facilities. The main
skills / experience that our client is looking for is:
1-2 years previous surveying experience (candidates with less will also
be considered); relevant construction qualifications and experience
within an on-site role would be an advantage. A generous salary package
(up to IRO £35K dependent upon experience and qualifications) is
