Knowledge of the industry is not necessary although experience within
the construction, cladding, food or related industries would be an

Key Account Manager – Guilford - Ref: A053
Lighting Key Account Manager
required in Guilford, Surrey. Our client is looking for a talented and
driven sales manager with experience of selling lighting solutions in to
the specification market. This is a great opportunity for proven
projects Key Account Manager, with experience within the Lighting Market
to cover the Surrey, Sussex and Kent region.
The successful candidate’s key responsibilities will be to promote the
sale of the Company’s products, systems and services to the agreed
customer accounts, which will secure the financial Sales target set and
agreed on an annual basis. They will develop a Lighting Solutions
concept with key accounts and grow these accounts to ensure that our
client is providing the majority of their lighting needs. They will work
closely with the Regional Sales Manager to review their accounts on a
regular basis and will have an agreed Sales Plan for each account. The
successful candidate will be organising and attending commercial
seminars for customers and also involving the appropriate technical
experts where appropriate. They will constantly be working to raise the
profile of our client and this will involve attending social functions.
The role involves liaising with other internal selling departments and
require their active contribution to the wider Specification team.
Our client is looking for an individual with strong lighting experience.
They will be a successful Key Account Manager who is able to think from
the Customer’s perspective and clearly demonstrate the value that our
client can add to each customer. They will, of course, be driven by the
need to deliver to the customer in a way that maximises customer value.
They will also be able to develop strategic relationships, generate
radical ideas, and produce viable business propositions that create new
business opportunities. They will understand how value is created for
our client and be adept at analysing and evaluating data to anticipate
market dynamics and support rapid, fact based decision making to
generate future markets. The successful candidate’s experience in this
market means that they will already be knowledgeable about our client’s
competitors’ products, systems, services and policies. Their enthusiasm
for finding lighting solutions will ensure that they are constantly
updating their knowledge of technical developments within the industry.
