As part of their ever
increasing workload our client requires a Mechanical Project Engineer
with, ideally, a minimum of 3 years experience designing mechanical
building services. Based in Swindon, our client has built up an
established client list including a number of blue chip clients. They
provide services tailored to their clients needs, be it design and
build, installation services, project management, testing and
commissioning packages. They are committed to training their engineers
to the highest standard, to ensure their clients receive a first class
end product.

The role of Mechanical Project Engineer will involve the candidate in
being responsible for overseeing the timely and quality output of the
group. They will be involved in: Resource management and mentoring /
training of junior staff members; Negotiate/liaise/coordinate with
clients, contractors, govt authorities, other engineering services,
architects, etc.; Conceptual and detail design, analysis and
documentation of HVAC services; Undertake continuing professional
development; Ensuring project delivery on time and to budget; Tender
documentation, reports and submissions; Tracking of, and reporting on
the groups project finances; Actively participate in business
development to grow the group.
The successful candidate will ideally have a Degree or at least have a
minimum of an HNC / HND or equivalent. They will need previous
experience of appropriate industry software packages including Auto CAD
and Hevacomp, and have a design background with strong experience in
project management. They will be commercially aware and will constantly
strive for results as well as being confident in their own ability, with
good communication skills and a professional approach to clients and
other employees. They should have significant experience of working
within a team and have the ability to collate information and have a
clear and structured approach to report writing.

Project Engineer required by
Glasgow Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy.
Our client is a well known and respected UK M&E Turnkey Consultancy with
an operating business focused upon the Scotland area. This organisation
has a high proportion of repeat and negotiated projects, ranging in
value from £50K to £1M, across many sectors.
A Project Engineer with Mechanical bias is required by our Client to
work on education projects within the Lanarkshire area, with new
projects valued between £100K and £500K. The successful applicant’s
responsibilities will include complete project supervision from contract
award, they will lead and motivate the project team to deliver the
project, within programme and budget, whilst ensuring that quality,
health & safety and company procedures are adhered to and that the
company is not exposed to unnecessary risk at site level, additionally
they will liaise with clients and their consultants to ensure the
project runs smoothly and develop an on-site client focused approach.
The successful candidate will have a Mechanical Design background and
demonstratable skills in management. They should have a proven track
record of successfully managing projects and they will be comfortable
working on either new build or refurbishment projects. The successful
candidate will need to be motivated, have strong leadership qualities
with drive, enthusiasm and ambition to succeed. In addition they should
have: Client and Design team management experience; Client focused; Good
health & safety awareness; Good team working skills; Good time manager,
organised; Ability to develop & maintain relationships with supply
chain; Effective managerial and supervisory skills; Good communication
skills; Accurate planning & programming; Able to prioritise effectively.
