Building Energy Modeller - Hertfordshire - AC483

Our Client is looking to recruit a building energy modeller to build on the company's expertise in sustainability in the built environment.  You will have particular knowledge of specialist software and an appreciate of building physics.  An understanding of wider sustainability issues would help integration with the wider team.  The position is for an initial period of 6 months from mid April to cover a planned staff absence but the company is growing in workload and there may be an opportunity of a permanent position.  An ability to work one or two days a week in March and early April would be an advantage.  You will be required to demonstrate existing skills and experience with a least one of the following: Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP) or Heat transfer modelling software eg TRISCO, THERM. Experience with other energy modelling software such as IES, SAP would be a distinct advantage.  You should be confident in MSExcel and possibly MSAcess using them to run basic assessments, collate and report findings.  You should be capable of preparing basic Word reports to present results to project managers and clients.  You will report to a number of project managers on a project by project basis.  You should therefore be capable of managing their time to balance the pressures of working on concurrent projects.
