Mechanical Building Services
Engineer - Senior - Kent - M340
Our Client is a small Building Services Consultancy based in
Kent. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Building
Services Engineer with the following qualifications and skills:
Degree qualified - BEng or BSc Energy Engineering; Associate or
Graduate Member of CIBSE; at least 10 years experience;
understanding or experience with Office based applications,
Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley, Hevacomp or Cymap, Designbuilder, TAS
or IES (or equivalent Dynamic Simulation Software). Duties
will include both in and out of office duties - "Hands on"
design of natural ventilation, stack and passive vent
strategies; thermal/structural calculations, mechanical
ventilation and heat recovery systems; air conditioning (air &
fridge based); gas services; pipe distribution systems; heath
pump boiler; combined heat & power; energy assessments &
surveys; Client meetings; SBEM Calcs; Contract Management; etc.
Training will be provided using CIBSE, BRE or IET for any
reasonable CPD and work based training such as General CPD /
updates; Energy Assessor; BREEAM Assessor. The successful
applicant will be given the opportunity to form a solid
mechanical services wing to the Practice which is currently
outsourced. A valid driving licence is essential.
The successful candidate will need to be willing to travel
around the UK if required. The Practice regards training
as essential and it is expected that the successful applicant
would undertake ongoing CPD and work based training and courses
in line with CIBSE guidance in respect of CPD. Salary up
to £40k depending upon experience. |
