Working in the busy project
office of this Commercial architectural cladding manufacturer and
supplier, this position involves the production of CAD drawings, design
calculations and dealing with client queries. The ideal candidate will
have an innovative approach to design, good working knowledge of
relevant standards and regulations, be proficient in AutoCAD and have
experience of design and specification of cladding systems. Candidates
require a relevant technical qualification and at least 5 years industry
experience. In addition they will be focussed on providing excellent
customer service, be able to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing at all levels, and with the self motivation to work accurately

CAD Operator/Surveyor – London - Ref: AC062
Central London based firm of
Chartered Surveyors is looking for a CAD Operator/Surveyor to join their
Rights of Light team. The practice covers a whole range of property
services across the UK. The position is within the Building Surveying
department providing CAD support to the building surveyors. The firm
specialises in Rights of Light and has a bespoke AutoCAD package called
SOL to facilitate the advance calculations currently required in
reports. The role will cover site inspections; interpretation of land
survey data; archive searches to local authorities; liaison with town
planners and Architects; CAD work on AutoCAD; training to use SOL;
checking of light models produced by competitor firms; liaison with
competitor firms CAD staff. Whilst the majority of work is within
Central London, some projects are further distances and some overnight
stays may be necessary. Salary is commensurate with experience and

practice is seeking applications for the post of CAD Manager. This
position is new and is therefore an opportunity for the right candidate
to make the post their own. The successful candidate will be seeking to
drive the use of CAD (AutoCAD / Architectural Desktop) to the limits and
through enthusiasm, skill and vision continue the development and scope
of CAD within the practice. Excellent communication skills and good
knowledge of AutoCAD up to ADT2005 together with a willingness to learn
