Architectural Technician – Norwich - Ref: BCJ0323
Based in Norwich, our Client is
an established Architectural and Interior Design Consultancy with 10+
designers and an established client base who is looking for an
experienced Architectural Technician.
Working on a diverse range of project types, ranging between £25K and
£25M in size, across a variety of market sectors including residential
new build and refurbishments, ecclesiastical and leisure and with a
strong history in restoration projects, the successful candidate will be
responsible for assisting in solutions to single and multi-disciplined
projects, whilst demonstrating technical competence and undertaking
client projects as part of a project team.
Duties will include preparing drawings, documents and presentations for
clients, consultants, contractors and other relevant parties. The
successful candidate will be researching and developing solutions to
building technology problems in the context of architectural design,
including researching project briefs, construction products/materials
and understanding the fundamentals of technical detailing and design
decisions. The successful candidate will have an understanding of
statutory requirements and integrating technical information into design
and production drawings for planning, building regulations, listed
building applications etc. Fully up to date and in-depth knowledge of
all current UK building and planning regulations is a must. The
successful candidate will be attending client, design team and site
meetings.
Candidates must have an Honors degree in Architecture/Architectural
Technology or equivalent. CIAT/BIAT membership is desirable. They must
have design skills and proficiency in AutoCAD. Some knowledge of
Vectorworks would offer an advantage. Above all the successful candidate
will be motivated and ambitious with the ability to work confidently and
dynamically under pressure.

Architectural Technician – Bedford - Ref: A050
Bedford based practice is looking for a CAD literate Architectural
Technician with a minimum of 3 years Commercial and Retail experience.
Multi-million pound projects. Our client will consider either permanent
or contract candidates (minimum contract term 6 months) and salary is
