RIBA I Assistant vacancy in
Manchester. Our client is a rapidly expanding practice with a their
office based in Manchester and whose primary area of interest is small
retail and commercial projects and work for private clients/residential
schemes.
Since its founding in 1985 our client has grown to 25+ staff with a
strong client base and respected local reputation. Due to their
increasing work load they now require a Part I Assistants to support the
practice's continuing success.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to: Be directly
involved with projects from start to finish; Help in finding solutions
to design problems; Have the opportunity to deal directly with clients,
contractors, engineers and planning officers on a one-to-one basis and
be supported by experienced and dedicated colleagues who will actively
encourage and guide the new Assistant through the RIBA process.
The anticipated term for the placement is a minimum period of two years
and the successful candidate should be eager to learn, flexible, and
have a positive attitude. They should be self-motivated and result
minded with the confidence and communication skills to be prepared to
negotiate with Planning Officers, Building Inspectors, Structural
Engineers, other consultants, Contractors and Clients. They must be
totally fluent in English, both spoken and written and must be able to
accept responsibilities such as Job Running.
The successful candidate can expect a generous remuneration package

(including involvement in our client’s own mentoring scheme), support
with professional memberships (as appropriate) and 25 days holiday per
